Module Summary

Students take part in lectures that give an insight into the UTEP Computer Science program. These lectures present basic concepts that are needed by the students to complete the module objectives stated above. In addition, a Professor from the CS Department lectures on the benefits of the UTEP Computer Science program, opportunities undergraduates have to become involved in research projects in the CS department, and the different areas of study and interest of the various CS faculty. By the end of the week, the students will have done the following:

1. create a web page document,
2. gain a clear understanding of the UNIX environment,
3. develop an understanding of the Computer Science program at UTEP, and
4. enjoy the process of learning these concepts!
