Leadership of the Academy:
The Academy leadership consists of the Academy Director and two Deputy Directors responsible for implementation of the Outreach and Research activities. The Academy also has a group of senior active associates involved into the decision making process. The Academy Director, Deputy Directors and the group of senior active associates represent an Executive Panel of the Academy. The panel is responsible for major decision making processes in the Academy including but not limited to establishing the parameters of the Academy’s mission and work, to designing a research agenda, to developing strategies for improving mathematics, science and engineering teacher preparation, to voting on policies, conducting a hiring process for new members, etc. The Panel will answer to the Provost. The Panel will develop and determine the by-laws, operational procedures, and structural components of the Academy.
