The Henderson RPL Guide was conceptualized by Mourat Tchoshanov and Sally Blake
Henderson Middle School returns to the RPL group. Faculty mentors, Sally Blake and Larry Lesser will meet with the Henderson Mathematics teachers every Wednesday during planning times to design and implement research-based pedagogy, improve the affective environment of the campus, and develop stronger community relationships.
The university and Henderson faculty team will also design research projects to investigate how students learn mathematics and the effect of homework on student learning at Henderson . New principal, Lydia Muniz, welcomed the faculty team to her school and is encouraging the research and collaboration. Pat Flores is the mathematics leader for Henderson and will assist in the coordination of this work.
There are twelve other mathematics teachers at Henderson involved in this project. There are currently six RPLs in the El Paso area with three additional satellite RPLs working with various RPL research projects. |
