| Henderson Improvement Plan | Curriculum:
a. CMP will remain the main text for the Henderson Middle School curriculum. The text will be supplemented with Glencoe and other appropriate texts as selected by the grade level planning teams.
b. Each grade level will coordinate and plan their lessons together. After teaching lessons the teachers will meet and discuss ways to adjust the lesson in order to improve instruction.
c. All grade levels will meet to align curriculum across grade levels.
d. Mathematics teachers will meet every other Tuesday with Drs. Tchoshanov and Blake to work on content and pedagogy.
e. Discipline and tutoring will become the responsibility of the Mathematics teachers within their building. It is hoped that the administration will support the decisions of the Mathematics committee.
f. All teaching will be in English. When students discuss problems in their groups they may converse in Spanish.
g. The sixth grade classes will be blocked together to allow longer periods of instruction.
h. Open and honest communication needs to develop.
