Whenever an invention or discovery is created by someone with the support of the University it is required that the inventor disclose his or her intellectual property to the University through the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), even if the invention or discovery is developed with outside support.  The disclosure is made by completing and submitting to the OTT one copy of the "Invention Disclosure Form ", which can be downloaded from this website.

We encourage you to disclose your invention or discovery as soon as possible and to avoid premature public disclosure by publication, sale, offering for sale or public use.  Avoid all conversations with any outside third party without a Confidentiality Agreement in place.  If you need a Confidentiality Agreement please contact the Office of Technology Transfer.
