PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project is supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the purpose is to inform the public about how weather, climate changes and human disturbance affects our daily lives. By informing young and general public about what is going on around us we want to help them to take the correct decisions related to their health and environment.

We do presentations in schools, science fairs and with different organizations about dust storms and other environmental related issues that occur locally; we have a variety of materials that range from power point presentations, models and simulators, to hands-on activities, handouts, pamphlets and manuals.

We also hope to make people realize of the many rewarding careers that exist in the field of environmental science and that research in the environmental sciences can promote economic and social progress in the El Paso region.
