Applications are open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Applicants must be available for the entire 10-week program.

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited 2 year or 4 year institution.

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in the Biological Sciences or in a related field. 

Applicants, at a minimum, must have completed two semesters of General or Introductory Biology and one semester of General or Introductory Chemistry. 

Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

Applicants must not have graduated from a 4 yr institution before the REU summer experience.

Applicants must also plan to enroll at their respective university full-time throughout the proceeding academic year.
