Welcome!

The IT/GIS team at the Center for Environmental Resource Management (CERM) thanks you for your interest in using our site. This site is devoted to share and display pertinent information to assist in the decision making process for the Paso del Norte Region with respect to water issues.

At CERM, our goal is to provide the best available information in the region to supplement researchers, government officials, community leaders, and the public in general. We believe that well informed decissions will always benefit the most people which is key to a balanced natural resource management.

The Southwest Consortium for Environmental Research and Policy (SCERP) has funded CERM to serve as one of the stablished nodes for its Borderwide GIS Program. To learn more about SCERP Borderwide GIS program go to the SCERP website or to the NMSU website which is the instituton in charge of bringing all the different nodes together.

For more information contact Alberto Barud at abarud@utep.edu.
